Charkha: A symbol of freedom.

Gandhiji, the father of the Nation used charkha as a tool to promote economic self-sufficiency during the British rule and bring awareness about his ‘Swadeshi’ movement. He wore a simple dress. He weaved his own clothes prepared on the hand wheel. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Our grade 2 students made a small model of charkha with efforts.
